EMPLOYMENT LITIGATION

All Island Counter Tops

Issues: Unpaid Overtime

On January 10, 2025, former employees who worked for All Island Counter Tops & Millwork Inc. filed a federal complaint alleging failure to pay overtime wages. Specifically, the complaint alleges that All Island Counter Top failed to pay them overtime compensation and paid them at their regular rate of pay for the hours they worked in excess of 40 in a work week. Both federal and state law requires employers to pay its employees at a rate of time and one half for the hours they worked beyond 40 hours.
